About Us

I am the oldest of 5 kids and the eldest grandchild of 26 on my mom's side. My huge Irish family makes me who I am. I married my husband, Mike, on 10/10/10 in a beautiful Catholic ceremony. We honeymooned in Seattle - he LOVED the weather. If we get a chance, we may move there! We just adopted a kitten we named Picasso but affectionatly call "Pico" for short. We live in a a suburb of Chicago, not far from where I grew up. Mike is a city boy who I've pulled into the suburbs. I have a Bachelor's degree in English from Northern Illinios University and currently work in higher education while freelance writing on the side. I enjoy singing in my car, the smell of a fresh leather handbag, and being utterly sarcastic. Mike is a Ford trained mechanic become business man. He works in Claims and Customer Service for an Insurance company with GM cars. He drives a Mustang if you were wondering! He's currently purusing a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design and Development/ Graphic Design and enjoys photography and really good (strange) beer. He is an only child so we're from two different worlds! We both attended same sex high schools in the Chicagoland area and met when we were 17. We started dating during my NIU days in '05 and were married 5 years later!
